At the first Zero 10

Presented by AOTM in the inaugural Zero 10 sector at Art Basel Miami Beach, the installation brought together Polygon Etcetera, Floor Ringer, and an early test of Ringers in Motion.

The presentation moved between printed images, a freestanding sculpture, and live software, bringing different expressions of Cherniak’s generative systems into a single space.

Polygon Etcetera

Polygon Etcetera made its public debut at the fair. The series comprises twenty unique digital works, presented here as prints.

The algorithm begins with a grid of cubes, flattens it into two dimensions, and samples and offsets polygons to build layered compositions of color, line, and pattern.

Floor Ringer

Floor Ringer translates the string-wrapped pegs of Ringers into three dimensions. Its metal surfaces and projecting pegs turn the algorithm’s geometry into a freestanding sculpture.

Ringers (Algorithmic Interpolation) · 2025

An early test of Ringers in Motion

Shown as Ringers (Algorithmic Interpolation), this was a simplified, silent early test of Ringers in Motion. Running as live software in a browser, it explored changes in the Ringers algorithm through moving compositions.

The work was developed further for the Tel Aviv Museum of Art presentation, curated by Tal Lanir.
